It’s great that they even retained the Skyactive badges, although once you hear the Lingenfelter built LS3, I think any ideas of it being a sleeper are out the window.

I love it!

I’d like to see one of these with an LT1 from the newer C7 Stingray and Camaro SS.

Or the LT2 from the C8

I’m sure that Flyin’ Miata would be glad to hook you up for $ 55k not including a donor car.

My dream is to buy a Miata, hoon it until the engine blows up, then send it to Flyin’ Miata with a blank check.

Posted this on Facebook asking if anyone wanted to get me an early birthday present and no one took me up on it. :(

The auction isn’t over yet - someone could still step up!

At that point, I’d just go and get myself a base Stingray.
I’d probably be happier with it.

Fun fact the badges aren’t glued on. There are holes in the bumper and pins on the badge so just taking them off doesn't work.

Make sure it isn't rusty then. Because it doesn't matter what you do to a pile of dust no matter how much money you throw at it lol. Says me with the rusty Miata going in the trash bin once all the parts are stripped off. My replacement has its own headaches but I know upon solving them all, I have a perfect Miata.

That’s wild. Would think it’s cheaper to glue them.

Probably would be a better DD, plus warranty. This thing is probably someone’s 5th or 6th car, tbh.

Yeah that’s my biggest fear - I would insist on getting a truly rust free car, which won’t be easy to find around Chicago.

It’s worth every bit of about $ 69k. I believe it’s about $50k +car to get one. And here’s one that’s sorted and you don’t have to wait. Take $1k off for test m iles.

Flyin Miata is repping the seller, and they mentioned that it’s $ 55k + car. But the Lingenfelter engine is an option - presume this one was north of $ 60k.

If Oppo chips in and gets me this it will take a brodozer f25o and a Sebring vert off Oppo thus raising Oppo's collective cred. Just saying.

Maybe we can trade all of our collective fleet for it.
I guess that would still be a lowball offer though...

Just because its rust free doesnt mean it is rust proof either. Still have to clear the drains, not park it outside in any kind of rain ever, and be careful when washing it. These cars are just overly susceptible to rusting from the inside out.
